DIVINE CONNECTION DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY OLADELE T•E
THEME: WHEN GOD MAKES HIMSELF HAPPEN!
TEXT: [NKJV] GENESIS 18:1
"Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day."
There is a profound difference between knowing God lives within you and experiencing a moment where God happens to you. While the Holy Spirit resides in every believer, there are specific Kairos moments which are appointed times of destiny where God manifests His presence through a divine visitation. These encounters are reserved for those in covenant with Him. As a believer, your covenant status is your "all-access pass" to these supernatural interruptions that break the monotony of natural life.
When God "happens" to a man, He never leaves the scene as He found it. A divine visitation is always accompanied by a divine wonder. God does not visit merely for conversation; He visits for transformation. He leaves behind tangible proof (a miracle, a shifted circumstance, or a fulfilled promise) that serves as a permanent monument to His presence. If you are in a covenant relationship with Him, you possess the spiritual sensitivity to recognize Him when He moves, ensuring you never miss your window of visitation.
In our focal scripture, we see Abraham sitting at his tent door in the heat of the day. He wasn't fasting for a visitation or orchestrating an event; he was simply "available." Even though the appearance of the Lord was unexpected, Abraham’s spirit was prepared. He didn't dismiss the visitors as ordinary. He acted wisely and hospitably, welcoming the move of God and because he hosted God, he received a word that manifested as a miracle (the birth of Isaac) exactly one year later. Abraham’s experience proves that when God visits, He does so to glorify Himself by doing the "impossible" in the life of the person He visits.
This message serves as your spiritual "wake-up call." God is preparing to make Himself an undeniable experience in your life. This experience will be so real and so powerful that you will struggle to find the words to explain it to those around you. Do not let the routine of daily life dull your expectations. Whether through the sudden fulfillment of an old promise or a miraculous wonder, God is about to visit you. My prayer for you today is that you will not be sleeping when your hour of visitation arrives. You will not be distracted when the Wonders of Heaven knock at your door.
PRAYER POINTS
Father, I thank You for the profound revelation of Your Word and for the assurance of Your presence.
Father, I thank You for the covenant that qualifies me for divine encounters and supernatural visitations.
Father, I refuse to be spiritually blind or insensitive. Give me the grace to recognize and host You whenever You choose to visit my life.
Father, as You visit me this season, let every long-standing promise in my life be converted into a tangible wonder for all to see.
