Entertainment Avenue: A Melbourne Match - Undeniable, Cheeky & Charming
Entertainment Avenue: A Melbourne Match - Georgie's Traveling to Zach's Heart!
Starring Mallory Jansen & Ryan Korr, Directed by Colin Budds. I must say 5 minutes in I knew I'm going to love this movie, Mallory as Georgie was glowing and geared up for this role, her scenes were just impeccable, having chemistry with her costars especially Ryan Korr and they blew me away from their first interaction. Zach is a heartthrob, nothing about him screams heartbreak or player well unless we're talking about his career in football. I loved how he was written and the actor definitely had me wondering "why am I not that familiar with his filmography because he's amazing"!
Georgie is a travel journalist who is always on the move causing her to be bad at taking care of herself, always seeing the story in the beauty and detail of things. She ends up missing so much that's happening around her, lacking patience and always in a rush, Zach slows her world down and allows her to savour the moments and create unforgettable moments. No more blink and you'll miss it kind of flow. Him being her driver is what kicks off an unexpected romance as they really and I mean really compliment each other. Their chemistry is off the chains, Melbourne is breathtakingly beautiful, I loved the cinematography, lighting and stylistic choices. I almost wished I had Georgie's job. 41 minutes in I knew it was already a 7/10 for ticking all the right boxes.
Some of the things I disliked was how they barely ate. I hate how food has turned into props, we see our favourite characters order and just dig into the food with a fork or the fake eating or sipping where the drink barely touches their lips. Yes there are scenes where Georgie tries a variety of food but then Zach with Vegemite, I guess he had breakfast at home? He didn't eat at all. So I was bothered by that. I get that she wanted to go sight seeing but come on! Also the pacing was amazing till the conclusion which felt rushed, I was highly anticipating their fight wondering who will it be between the two and Georgie is the one who let pressure get to her and speak out of turn, their tension was heavy, truly a gripping performance and I was hurt when they were being cold and distant till Georgie decided to break the ice, grab his hand and rush out mid interview to the rooftop to finally seal it with a kiss. Definitely a Melbourne Match!
I laughed a lot, I found myself seeing what I've been missing in a partner or the ideal, shoe fits for Cinderella moment. So I give it a 9/10 it's one I'd watch again and again. I'm madly in love with their portrayal and kudos to the casting director. I literally found myself talking to God about it because I was like "now I got an idea of who I want" (ideal partner). Some movies just give you a hint and this did it for me.
A Melbourne Match is a Hallmark Movie you should definitely watch. Popcorn Gold and a heart melter.
